veterans1  On November 9th, 2010 New Springs Middle School celebrated Veteran’s Day by inviting a guest speaker, Sargent Hartmann to speak with the students about the military.  The students asked many insightful questions throughout the discussion. 

Topics ranged from JROTC in high school, college scholarship opportunities awarded through the military, the training one can receive when joining a force and the physical demands that are required of entry level recruits.   Giving the students the chance to learn about the military was an excellent way to honor our troops who have served and those that will.
