Our school now has access to a great resource for preparing our kids for the Florida state standardized tests (FCAT). We have purchased a school license for a web-based program called Study Island, which is accessible to students from school or home. www.studyisland.com |
 1st Semester award ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 23rd at New Springs Middle School. Students were awarded based on their 1st semester GPA. 50 students were eligible to receive different awards.The award categories were Pirncipal Honor Roll students , Honor Roll students, Achievement Roll.

Congratulations.
New Springs Middle School Lego League Robotics team competed in FIRST LEGO League FLL qualifying tournament on Saturday, December 17th. The team received 1st place among 18 teams in the category of Blind Pirate’s Challenge.

 Congratulations to NSMS Science Olympiad Team. They competed at FL State Science Olympiad at UCF on April 16th. Our team received 2 bronze medals in the state level Science Olympiad. This is such a great achievement for a school in its first year. 53 middle schools attended the Olympiad by being eligible through 5 regional competitions in Florida.

 The New Springs Science Olympiad Team attended Florida’s western regional Science Olympiad tournament in Clearwater Catholic High School on Saturday, January 29. NSMS first year the team had a great success at the competition. The team received 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.

 Students at NSMS attended the MOSI field trip on Wednesday, November 10th. 6th & 7th graders attended the field trip. The field trip theme was the science of Biology as students are learning Biological Science in science classes.
